Founded on 23rd of April 1833, the first conference of charity knew a fast expansion. From the end of 1834, the need to provide it with an organisation was evident. François Lallier, submitted on the 8th of December 1835 a text that can be considered as the first version of the Rule ». This text, called at the time « Règlement » (=regulations), was not questioned before the II Vatican Council. In 1973, after ten years of work, the Rule was accepted by the General Assembly in Dublin. The present text (which bears the name of Rule) was adopted at the EGA of Rome in 2003. |
