Yes (Rule, § 7.2.)

Charity is also a work of justice.

As Vincentians, we seek:

-         to contribute to reform the social injustice (economic field) and fight the structures of sin (moral field).

-         to respect man, in particular when he is fragile and threatened, from his conception to his death (frailty is also a form of poverty)

-         another form of poverty is « not to have the choice ». In certain cases, to spot the one that « does not have the choice » is an excellent revealing means in order to identify the poorest.

 

If Vincentians, as such, do not get involved in politics in a partisan sense, they can take a political action in the noblest sense, which is the search for the common good.
